2006 New Holland TC45DA W/16LA Loader
Wanted to know if anyone out there can answer this question about bolt on toothbars. I have a 2006 TC45DA tractor with a 72inch bucket. I have a factory added reversible cutting edge that is bolted to the bucket, these holes along the inside of the bucket lip were already there when I purchased the cutting edge, and it bolted in place with no problem. It seems that New Holland is the only one I can find that has a tooth bar available that will bolt on over the existing added cutting edge. I really don't want to remove the cutting edge to install a tooth bar. Has anyone ran into this issue, and if you did, did you just drill out the flat plate on a tooth bar and use longer bolts to attach it and the cutting edge together in the bucket?

Try emailing Harry at BXpanded. His Piranha TB's are amazing, and of you tell him how far from the edge your cutting edge bolts are, he can probably tell you if his PTB will fit without any modifications. Take a look at the BXpanded site and you'll see why your bolts may be no problem for his TB. He sells a 72" TB for $339+ shipping and they are bomb-proof.

Thanks for your replies. The tooth bar from Const. Attachments is exactly what I'm looking for!

Just for information, we do build Piranha Tooth bars that accommodate a double edge. Just let us know.

I welded teeth to a piece of 3/8" flat stock. The bottom of the tooth guide slid under the cutting edge and it was held in place by two bolts in the bucket side plate. I have tortured it for five plus years and have not bent or broke it. The cost of materials was approximately $175 with flat stock, guides, and bucket teeth. The weight adds up. I would not want to pay shipping for any long distance.
I built it for my TC 45 DA.... and have transferred it to my TC 55 DA.
