There's a big construction auction near here on Thursday that has some brand new ssl attachments made by Thomas Industries in Canada. I went up and checked them out today and they appear to be well made. Attached is a link to their site. The ones I'm interested in are the grapple bucket and the pallet forks. Does anyone know what an approximate new price on these would be? Thomas Skid steer loader attachments

I bought a set of Thomas's swinging pallet forks at a Richie Bros. auction for $425. Retail price on various other brand forks are in the $600- $800 range. These are well built forks, I've used them for digging stumps and haven't bent or broke them yet. I have a New Holland TN 65 so I can abuse stuff worse than most compacts. They set a reserve price for what I believe is wholesale. The forks I bought had a "phone- in" bid for $400, all the Thomas attachments at that " no reserve" auction had phone bids. That was educational, if I ever sell there my roomie is going to be doing some internet bidding. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thanks, Bgott,

I think you saved me a trip. I looked at some of this auctioneer's other sales and 4 of the first 5 had similar brand new Thomas attachments. Lots of them. Between yours and these, I wouldn't be suprised if these have some "phone in bids" too.

John
