hi all! i am hoping to pick up a honda rt5000 and was wondering where i can find cat 0 implements. i would love to find a small flail mower and various stuff. all i can find is single bottom plow, 2 gang cutharrow (1row), scoops and booms. boring stuff. i want a cutharrow with a 4 gang tandem setup and other interesting attachments. any recommendations?

It would help to know where you are. If I tell you of a place in WA and you are in FL, it won't help much.

You need close to forty pounds of total harrow weight bearing on each notched disc in order to cut through vegetation.

I do not think you can find a disc harrow with even twenty pounds bearing on each notched disc in Category 0…....but I have been wrong once or twice.

Tractor Supply Company (TSC) sells dropped clevis sub-compact tractor implements in 'Countyline'. Countyline sub-compact implements are painted RED. These may be Cat 1, but you can add TSC conversion bushings to Cat 0 draw pins, so that Cat 1 implements will lift.

There is consensus on T-B-N that a TANDEM Disc Harrow requires five tractor horsepower per foot of width + 4-WD to pull. That is why you only find SINGLE-ROW Disc Harrow offered for the RT-5000

In my opinion you have bloated expectations for eleven horsepower (new) and two wheel drive.

Spend your money as you like.

However, the expectations expressed in your opening post, are likely to be totally disappointed.

Buy a tractor with at least twenty horsepower, a Category 1 three point hitch and four wheel drive.

A front end loader (FEL) is the most useful tractor accessory.

There are a bizzilion well maintained, used, diesel 'Cat 1' tractors available at this time of the year.

KINDLY FILL IN YOUR T-B-N PROFILE.

The RT5000 was last made in 1989, so if you get the last one off the assembly line it is twenty-four years old.

If it had eleven horsepower new, how much power does it have in 2013? Eight?

Cat 0 stuff is rare and expensive. That is what my JD garden tractors are.
You can get all kinds of stuff, but you usually need to pay more than cat 1, and find it used as current manufactuers of attachments dont do much/any cat 0.

I dont know what your honda makes for power, but here is what they have listed for the moldboard plow:

Required HP 40
