These are some great ideas and builds.
This is very crude compared to most of the nice handiwork in this thread, but it works. Its just a quick and dirty ripper that I made to fit the 4in1 bucket on my small kubota. (I have a backhoe permanently fitted, so attaching anything to the 3PH is not an easy option). This simple attachment puts down a couple of rips about 18 inches apart and 6 inches deep. The purpose is to cut through the 2' thick 'kikuyu' grass matting that surrounds my shack. I then tear out the grass in between the rips with the skinny bucket on the backhoe. I've used it a number of times to cut out strips of grass so I can to put in long concrete borders or trenches for pipes. (If I just use the backhoe alone the grass comes up in great slabs 3 feet wide.).
Man, I am soooooo jealous of your 4in1 bucket.
If you can get one at a reasonable price you'll never regret it. I really couldn't imagine not having it. I doubt I've ever used the tractor without utilizing the 4in1. Many TBN members seem to prefer the bigger capacity of a grapple but it depends how much brush you have to move. But the 4in1's can be heavy so some rear counter weight is almost essential. Yes the kikuyu is brutal. Its a real struggle to dig through with a spade, and the front bucket barely scratches it. It can really thatch up over time. If I'm just digging a small hole to plant a tree I have to cut through it first with an axe. But its a good easy care grass for around a shack. (Note I changed my previous post from 2' thick to 3" thick. Its not quite that brutal!) )
Simple homemade Handi-Hitch attachment, but nearly everybody has one!
Actually I think very few people have one. It's something you'd think is cool but not be used much. It's just the opposite!!! I run a QH on my tractor which gives me even more opportunities to use mine. Just takes a few seconds to set it on the QH and use. A few seconds later and it's removed. Very handy attachment.
I wouldn't be without mine… one of my very first attachments. Makes moving/navigating trailers SO much easier, to the point where I tore a tire off the dump trailer making too tight of a turn! I could have a dedicated tractor just with the hitch on it
