Safety discussions aside....anyone know if the Unicorn PTO driven screw type splitters are still available.

I can find one that bolts to a wheel hub for your car / truck, but can't seem to find any PTO driven unit.

Just sold my Massey 50 and threw the thing in with the deal! If you want I can ask the guy I gave it to if he's willing to sell it.

Yes it is dangerous, but I gotta admit it can split a lot of wood very fast. The good thing about using it on the old massey was that you could put the PTO in "ground drive". This allowed me run the PTO opposite its normal direction and spin the log off if I bit off more than it could chew.

I suspect that he was implying that you wouldn't get an answer from the original poster (orb) and you didn't (orb was last seen in 2006)

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for clarifying my post.

Of course, you got it right on the first try, a
lthough I don't think you should've had to explain my intent in the first place...

I'm not sure why
Mr. Haugen didn't get it, but I was happy to see that someone else [Roger/Mr. 94Bullitt] had posted a more useful answer than mine [or Mr. Haugen's].

Be well!

Thomas
