Anyone ever use a boom pole on your 3 point hitch? I'm thinking of buying one from Northern Tool & Equipment that lists one in their 2003 Fall/Winter Master Catalog on page 74. But I can't figure out if it will do what I want to do within the limits of the 3 point hitch lifting capacity. The manual for my B2710 says that the 3 point hitch has a max lift force of 1655 lbs. at the ends of the hitch arms and a lift force of 1300 lbs. 24 inches from the ends of the lift arms. The boom pole is 106 inches long. So how much will the 3 point hitch lift at 106 inches from the end of the hitch arms? The boom weighs 111 lbs. I want to lift no more than 200-250 lbs. Does anyone have any experience with this type of implement?
