Big Bee Metals- Agri Titan 60" model Blade bolt torque spec?? Contact Factory????
New to the world...
Just bought a JD mid-small tractor and a new Big Bee Titan 60" cutter (brush hog style). Before even getting the unit off of the truck, the driver handed me a blade...said it was falling off. Ugh....
Contact with dealer that sold it to me in TX (I'm in CA) about torque specs, advised "tightening it up real tight" to "don't know".... Once I received the "manual" for the Agri cutter (this is a Titan, next model up) I read about "cutting a 3" hole in the deck" to gain access to the cutter nuts..... That would be fun! OR, taking the stump jumper thing that the blades bolt to....off with a hammer. This is a splined piece.....precision...... hammer....not so precision.....
This is a 1 1/8" bolt, so no small piece.....and will take the BIG tools...
So still, I seek the assembly torque specs as I want to go through the entire unit before I head off to start throwing parts around the pasture......or through a house....!
Has anyone gotten through on the phone lines to Big Bee Metals in Red Bay AL???? I found two numbers.....and no answer today...on either...but it's Friday...and maybe they get Fridays off...... 662-652-3374 and 3372. They list their warranty co. as DHE Warranty Div. in Red Bay AL, but no phone numbers, only a "ship to" address for sending your bad parts back to...........not quite ready to send an entire unit back....!!!!
Anyway, would like to hear from anyone that has had success with reaching these guys!!!
Thanks!
Steve
