Carts or Wagons to Pull Behind Tractor

/ Carts or Wagons to Pull Behind Tractor #12
I have an older Canadian MUTS single axle trailer which I mostly pulled behind my Kubota RTV500 utility vehicle. As the load is carried low, between the wheels, the MUTS is very stable loaded. The current, larger MUTS two axle trailers would be good behind tractors. THE TILT/DUMP feature is wonderful and has worked faultlessly for me the last thirty months. Well worth the substantial freight to get the MUTS to Florida from Canada.

If you telephone MUTS you speak to Larry Edgar, the designer, in person.

I like the baby hay rack I made a few years ago. It's about 5'w by 9' long. Here is a pic of it with a load of walnuts.

View attachment 363027I built my own farm wagon. I bought the running gear( ten ton Horst Model 185) and with free plans obtained from the internet I constructed a box that exactly fits my needs. The running gear was $1600 and the box materials and tires were $1200. At first I thought it would be too difficult for me but the further I looked into the project - the more fun/interesting it became. It took me two weeks to complete the wagon - a total of about 12-14 hours. The only down side to this type wagon is since it does have front steering - exactly like a car - it is a bit tricky to learn to back up. Otherwise, its been a fantastic wagon and will carry anything I need moved.View attachment 363026

Seeking advice on best cart/wagon to get to pull behind my 1025R JD, to haul bulk materials, dirt, firewood, brush, etc. Brand, size, feature recommendations are sought. Thanks.

Check local CL for a "flair box or barge box" wagon.

If its a trailer you want/need, they can be had reasonably cheap with a Hoist to dump it if you have the remotes to hook it to...

Thanks, BCP, now it's becoming clear to me the difference between carry-all, utility cart and wagon and trailer!
