Forks My Pallet Forks (Quick Attach)

Hi all, it's been awhile since I've been here but, I wanted to share my latest project with you. I just finished the rack and gave it a quick test run. I had the brackets bent up by a local fab shop and made the rest from mild steel. The forks are 42" take-offs from a fork lift.

That is a right handsome looking set of pallet forks on the front of that mean looking Kubota! You otta' go into business for yourself making/selling them. They look nicer than the store bought ones that I own.

Thank you PineRidge, that is one beautiful "Blue" setup you have there. I almost went with the TC33D myself . . . love that sloped hood and smooth suspension.

I'm trying to make room in my shop to park the Bota inside over the winter - I think I feel a new project coming (Storage) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Then I can keep my bota as nice as your NH.

I know where you are coming from as space here around the ranch is a premium also. Two years ago I put up a 25 X 35 pole barn and very quickly filled it up. I am now planning yet another pole barn for additional storage space. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I sure do like your pallet forks and they look like
they came from the factory. Your post inspired me
to attempt something similar.
Here's a couple of pictures of what I am doing.
I am adapting a King Kutter PM15 pallet mover to
use on my JD 430 loader on my JD 4310 CUT.
I am not finished yet as I have some more welding to do
but here are some pictures of the work in progress.
So far, I have invested $200 for the KK - PM15 from
Tractor Supply, about $40 in Steel and $32 in
two bucket hooks (JD part number W43359) and two pins
(JD part number W47211).
The PM15 is rated at 2000 pounds at 24 inches out so
it should be able to take anything that the hydraulics
can put out. The PM15 weighs 135 pounds and the extra steel
is probably another 30 pounds.

I haven't done it yet but I also plan on making
modifications to use the pallet mover with the iMatch.
Basically, I need to move the top link connection
point down about 6 inches so it will fit up with the iMatch.

Nice work Perry, that makes sense. I was going to do the same thing originally but, I wanted to use mine for more demanding things as the pic shows (See 12" stump). My setup probably cost about $300 or so plus my time. Your idea is the way to go for anybody wanting to keep their investment (time and money) low while still having the advantage of a quick attach system.

I love how quick and easy it is to change out loader attachments - it takes only seconds to do.
