Picked up my new Ansung YJR74 tiller this morning. I traded in a 2007 Bushhog RTS74. The new tiller is a lot more heavy duty than my old one.

I purchased a bigger tractor last summer (2009 Kubota L5740), and this new tiller should fit well on the new tractor.

I had another fitting made for the laser system, but have not had time to put it on and test it. I probably won't have time to test it until I get back from Australia in early April.

I have the same unit, going on three seasons. Its priceless the way it runs. Running mine behind a Bobcat CT 235 27PTO HP with no issues. You will need to experiment setting the springs on the tale gate. You can slightly compact and level if they are set to the stiff side. Also be sure to adjust the top link correctly. It can make a big difference in the performance

Check the oil levels and bolt tightness before starting and after the first use. I check every bolt at the beginning of each season. Whats interesting is the tines seem to self sharpen.

Good luck

I got to use it a few days ago on 2 football fields.

I really like the job it does. I'll try to post pics later.

Glad to hear its working well. I would not know what to do without mine. The weight makes busting sod and hard ground easier. If it were lighter like the other brands, it would be bouncing all over the place.

I took out several irrigation ditches this spring (changing to gated pipe) and the tiller made short work of it. I was able to straddle and till both banks, pulverizing the embankments. With the gate set tight it filled and leveled the ditch as I went. Was easy to the wheel roll the ditch to compact and then make another pass to pulverize the excess - made moving the dirt a lot easier than digging up clumps.

Neighbor has a Kubota BX model and a smaller KK unit. He was trying to expand his garden this year. After watching him beat his tractor, him, and tiller to death on the new plot, I just could not stand it and came over. set my tiller down, and in two passes had it done....did get a cold one out of the deal. Not bad for 5 minutes of effort.

In the case of a tiller size and especially weight can be a good thing.

It does a much better job than my old Bush Hog did, but this is a lot more heavy duty. I'm surprised you have yours on a 27 pto hp tractor. My tractor is a 50 pto hp, and it handles it well, but it seems that would be big for a 27 hp.

Edit...Not sure what's going on with pictures, but I added 3 pics in another post and they worked fine, but when I ad one here, and click on where the picture should be, I get redirected back to the home page......

My tractor is hydrostatic, so I can just slow down if it starts to load up. I may not be fast, but it does a fantastic job.

Used it again today to do some finish tilling before seeding. Set the hight using the 3pt and worked through the bed to incorporate some horse byproduct. I swear they produce more than they eat :eek::D
