County line vs Ansung Terra Force ER074 tiller

I am so tired of dealers and their incognizance. I mentioned above that I stopped in at a Landpride dealer on Wednesday to put a deposit on a LR1684 rake. It was late in the day so he couldn't give me a delivery date. Told me that he would get back to me. Didn't hear from him Thursday morning, I called and he had left for the afternoon. Nobody else was able to help me there. Was told to call back in the morning. I waited all Friday morning here and just called him again. While speaking with him he acted like we never talked? It was just two days ago, they don't sell that much product at this place to forget who you met or talked with just two days ago. He asked me what model I ordered, after a few minutes of searching (I heard papers shuffling) he said, Oh yeah here it is. Let me call my Landpride contact and see where its at. I was placed on hold and he came back on after being unable to get a hold of his contact. He took my number and said that he will call me back. Then he asked, what color do I want?? Shouldn't this had been asked on Wednesday?? I am in sales as well, if I treated my customers this way I wouldn't have a paycheck!

Symptomatic of a dealer who's "just not into it anymore", but has no alternatives.
Depending on where you live, this incognizance seems to ebb and flow with the advent of hunting and fishing season, too.

Update on dealer (I know off my original subject) just have to vent again. Dealer told me that my rake would be in this week. I call and guess what, it's not in yet and he told me that it "should" be in next tues or Wednesday. Then he asked me for a 3rd time "what color do I want" unbelievable! How can it be on order if he doesn't know the color? I got online again and found another dealer that had one in stock. Picking it up tomorrow. Went back to the original dealer and got my deposit back.

I just picked up a 5 foot king kutter from big r for under 1300.00. I thought the price was great. I wanted king kutter because of USA made. It's the first 3 point tiller I have ever used but I am very impressed with it. However I think the gear box is imported. Funny thing though the instructions seam like china import to. I'll do more checking in to it.

I cannot really comment on what tiller to get. But I would have canceled the rake with that dealer the second I found out he was lying about the tiller weights. Just on principal alone.

If you are going to be a salesman, you need to know specs for more than just your own equipment. And if you do not, dont BS about it or lie to the customer to try to justify why you charge more.

An old time chainsaw salesman once told me something and it stuck with me...

"If you have to resort to bad-mouthing your competition, and cannot sell your product on it merits alone, you are selling the wrong product."

Nothing wrong with comparing things. Or stating that "my tiller is XX pounds heavier and has a XX higher HP gearbox etc. Just stating facts. But bad-mouthing competition is a big turn off for me when shopping for something.

Back to your tiller. I wouldnt get hung p on weather it is clevis mount or not. Cause a tiller isnt really a hard "pulling" load.

Called king kutter today with my serial #. Tiller was made in Ohio. It has some import parts but they said all there products r made here in USA. I'm very happy about that. What more can you ask for widely available great prices great quality made here in USA. I'll be buying as much king kutter stuff as I can. Why pay more for imports? So few products still made here. Corporate greed is finally surpassing price of locally produced goods.

I have the tarter made tiller that tsc is now branding as county line here in va and can say it is a very nice unit. Works well on my 43 hp kubota and haven't had any trouble. I'm in my 2nd season with it now

I'm leaning towards the King Kutter just because it's so easy to get replacement parts. Most comments are positive on this unit as well.

I heard a rumor that the tarter tiller from TSC labeled County-line. Was made in America and also made by king kutter but I'm not sure.
