Debating upon which tiller to go with. Both have similar specs, the Ansung has a 5yr warranty on the gearbox. From what I can tell the County Line (King Kutter) is 1 yr. Anyone have experience with the Ansung brand? The County Line is going for around $1650 at TSC and the Ansung is $1950 at a local farm dealer.

I believe the county line tillers now are all made by Tarter.

I'm still having a hard time deciding between the two. I like the Clevis style 3 pt hookup on the Terra Force, but I have not found a whole lot of information on this brand. Concerned about locating parts down the road. The dealer of the Terra Force told me that he will stock parts for the next 25 years for this tiller. Hard to believe since he was pushing another brand just last year. I asked him why I should buy his over King kutter and he told me that all King Kutters are now made in China. This is opposite of what I hear on this website. Also stopped at a landpride dealer today to order a landscape rake. Knowing that they were expensive I told him to quote me a price on a landpride tiller. Came back at $2800. He told me that it weighed twice as much as a King Kutter. I asked him how much it weighed and was told 562 lbs??? The king kutter is 700! Hard to believe anyone these days. I just want the best value for my dollar.

It depends on which part of the country you are in I believe. Still KK here in Colorado as of last week. For their 6' one at least, they were out of the 5' one I was looking for. On sale for a couple hundred cheaper than a KK branded one at Murdoch's down the road.

I am so tired of dealers and their incognizance. I mentioned above that I stopped in at a Landpride dealer on Wednesday to put a deposit on a LR1684 rake. It was late in the day so he couldn't give me a delivery date. Told me that he would get back to me. Didn't hear from him Thursday morning, I called and he had left for the afternoon. Nobody else was able to help me there. Was told to call back in the morning. I waited all Friday morning here and just called him again. While speaking with him he acted like we never talked? It was just two days ago, they don't sell that much product at this place to forget who you met or talked with just two days ago. He asked me what model I ordered, after a few minutes of searching (I heard papers shuffling) he said, Oh yeah here it is. Let me call my Landpride contact and see where its at. I was placed on hold and he came back on after being unable to get a hold of his contact. He took my number and said that he will call me back. Then he asked, what color do I want?? Shouldn't this had been asked on Wednesday?? I am in sales as well, if I treated my customers this way I wouldn't have a paycheck!

JMER, that sort of thing drives me nuts as well. There's no excuse for it.

I own an ansung 62" chain driven tiller that I have used on ground that has not been plowed for 25 years. I used it 2 seasons so far and the thing is rock solid and has been very reliable. Oh course we will see how long it lasts, but looking at the construction, it is made heavy duty with 6 "C" shaped tines to grind the soil. I would buy the same one over again.

In 2009 I looked at all the new stuff and prices were excessive. I bought a foreign made tiller, Japanese, use off Ebay. The seller was in MS. Cost me $400 and $150 trucking. Been great tiller. Tilled over 5 acres old hard packed cattle pasture after ripping ground with box blade hooks. Till garden as needed.
