I acquired a Woods GB60 (60") a few years ago that I am going to sell. It is pretty heavy duty. It is for all practical purposes unused, a little surface rust in a couple of spots with not a chip or wear on either blade or rippers. It has been stored indoors for the past few years.
Any opinions on a fair craigslist price? I looked at tractor house and a couple dealers had used ones but what they were asking was too high and anyway this one is in way better condition than what was pictured.

If your price it too high you will get to keep it. If yours is better than theirs cut your price by 40% and see what happens if you are ready to sell. We bought our Bush hog brand BB new for less than some were asking for used ones. There is NO standard pricing in this class of equipment.

New ones (not Woods) here are $950 for a 60" on Craigslist. Used go from $300 to $650, all sizes. Personally I would not go more than $500 for a used box blade. Any higher I'd just go new. I am NOT in Ohio, though. Market there could be very different.

It all depends on what part of Ohio you're in. In the you're near me (Dayton/Cinci), I think a "fair price" would be about $125. PM me and I'll come get it.  If you're in another part of the state, then probably about $400-450 or so.

I don't think I've seen any used box blades on Dayton's CL for more than $600 and I've seen several in the $350-450 range. Many have been no-name and/or older.

50% of new price is normal around here.

Also rare to see one in that size or under that is worn. Most times they are pulled by small tractors with little or no damage. Get into the 72" and above and you'll see more damage/wear because of being pulled by much bigger tractors.

This is a very good example of why it's better to buy used with an attachment as mechanically simple as a BB. Not much to go wrong unless it's been abused. 50% of $950 will buy a lifetime of paint. :confused3:

I agree with Mark and he's a lot closer to you than me. I've been looking for a used one for a while. They rarely come up on CL around here. Whenever I'm looking on CL I never find good used equipment and usually end up buying new.
