flail vs finish mower

Youse need to be persistent to reach someone at AgriSupply that understands that they can special order the finish version which can be added to their next regular shipment from Caroni. Caroni makes the finish version of the 1900 (75" ) series as a standard model but AgriSupply for some reason chooses not to import that particular model. You may need to wait a few months depending on when their next container from Caroni is scheduled, but it can be done and others have done it.

All that said, if you have never seen the quality of cut of the "rough cut" you might be surprised at how good it is. Way better than a bush hog and pretty close to a rear finish mower. Perhaps not a manicured suburban lawn level but easily good enough for for any field or pasture.

That could work pretty well then. Our 16 acres is about 2 wide and 8 deep. I want about half an acre right around the house of lawn quality grass, then short but not lawn on the 4 acres in front of the house then pasture on the remainder. Need to dig up some pictures to see if it will work...

Reviving an old thread instead of starting a new thread, but I am in the midst of seriously considering a flail mower instead of a finish mower for the Kubota L4330. I am searching for a 72" to 84" pre-owned medium to heavy-duty model. Does anyone have suggestions?
