I made this thread to show that you can take something that does not look that good and make it look like new. I also have a couple of broken attachments that I repaired.

The first is a Woods RB60 Blade. I showed pictures of this one in another thread.

These are the only before pictures I have of it.

To clean it up I used a wire wheel on an angle grinder and paint stripper.

After:

Here is my Version 1 imatch.

I used sand paper to remove rust and feather out the scratches.

After: (it already has a battle scar from use)

Version 2 imatch. It was just green and needed to be Orange.

I just scuffed the paint with a scotchbright pad.

After:

Woods LR72 Rake

It was really bad looking a couple years ago, I repainted it Woods burnt orange. I just scuffed the frame work and shot it orange. For the bolts I used galvanized paint, IDK how it will hold up. I brushed the tines gray.

After:

Disk for garden tractor:

I forgot to get a picture of the whole thing before I started.

I had too much weight on it and broke it with the Cub Cadet 2206. I had to straighten and weld the tongue. Straighten one of the axles and build new wood blocks (is it called boxing) for the axles to run in. I cleaned everything thing up with a wire wheel. I am going to get rid of this disk since I have no use for it.

Are you sandblasting? How are you prepping for paint?

Thanks. Everything but the disk was sprayed. The disk was brushed, the but the disk blades were sprayed. I used genuine Kubota paint, the only thing I can find that matches the tractors. The disk, rake tines, and cutting edge on the blade I used rustoleum paint. The blade I used a Devilbis Finsihline to paint it and everything else that was sprayed I used $8 Harbor freight HVLP gun. I like the size of the harbor freight gun for tractor implements and I don't have to clean it up real good.

Nice work.

Thanks
