Front-End Loader JD model 80 Loader

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Might anyone know the whereabouts of a JD Model 80 loader parts manual might be available for sale,loan,or just some numbers. Need to replace the lift cylinders on my unit for they will not hold up even 200lbs any more. Just worn out!! Need to replace the lines and the fittings on the female ends are hard to find therefore need part numbers so I will be available for JD to strip me of a fortune to get new lines for the next set of lift cylinders. Error Click on the link that says "Error" and use the drop down menu arrow on "assembly" to see other parts for the loader. It is unlikely the cylinder need replacing, it's probably bad seals. A factory seal kit for the lift cylinder is only $45 vs $335 for the whole unit. You can take the cylinder apart and order new seals or have any hydraulic shop replace them for you. They can also help with the line and fitting issue.

Darryl you are dead right. What I have found is a man who filmed the complete replacement of the cylinders on the same 80 series with new ones that added more reach which I could use for cylinder cost of 79.95 each. I will be changing the cylinders because i already changed the seals and it did not improve the working under load. I will try and make this happen and do the same for others and put it on line for others to witness either what to do or NOT do in making a change of cylinders. The bucket units are ok and FORTUNATE no leaks as yet and they are the original OEM lines. My problem is the lifting work is always near half ton lifts and holds. It is just time for some new hardware. Thank you for the parts location for I will be inspecting the pins and grease pegs. On ward and up ward. KJ

I'll bet you found Mars1952's videos. He is a TBN member and did a great job on his FEL. The same thread on his upgrade is here http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...eere-loader-cylinders.html?highlight=cylinder . I was going to recommend this upgrade but just assumed if they wouldn't hold 200lbs, that you just needed to get them back to factory lift specs.

Feel like I should address one point. If you already put new seals in them and they didn't "improve the working under load" does that mean they still won't hold 200lbs? If so, there is another issue. Either the cylinders aren't receiving much pressure ( literally less than 100psi) or the new seals are leaking. If you mean the stock cylinders never did quite do what you needed, then by all means make the upgrade.
