Value Leader 4" PTO chipper

Wow, that looks like a pretty good ripoff of the Wallenstein. Gotta love the Chinese and their lack of ethics. They steal my software designs all the time, and it's frustrating.

With a quick look at Wallenstein history on their web page, they have only produced chippers since 2005 and chipper shredders from 2008. No pioneers there. I wonder where they got their ideas?

Does anyone have experience with one of these?

Wood Chipper 4" Diameter (GFWCX4) - Value Leader Implements

I have a 27 engine HP Yanmar and 20+ acres of mostly wooded land. I cleared a 2 acre house lot years ago that I neglected and has grown in. I re-claimed a lot of it with my rotary mower, but there are some dense stands of 2-4" white pines that I can't knock down with the mower. I really don't want to go back to the huge brush fires that I used to have. I don't think I could get away with it anymore.
I know very little about chippers. The capacity of this machine will work. Direct drive seems to be a plus. Is it? I'll consider it paid for, if it can clear the lot.
Any thoughts on the quality? I'd probably spend about 50% of the purchase price on a weekend chipper rental and a couple of guys to feed it. I just can't do the physical labor like I used to. Thanks.

Hi, I think I can give you a best answer for this question.
I m the manufacturer in China, that factory which sell wood chipper to value leader, it is in my city, and I produce same products as them.

Yes, this model copy from Wallenstein BX42, many factory produce this here. please everyone don't attack me, this is not my fault, I respect intellectual property right always.

I would remind you that this model is not with self-feeding system, it need you to push it into chipper if wood is 4" or with too many branch. as you said that you don't want to do physical labor like used to, so I think you can consider about those chipper with self-feeding. 6" Wood Chipper/Shredder - Value Leader Implements
value leader also sell these mechanical self-feeding chipper. I think they are enough for your 2 acre wood land work.

And you need a electric motor saw.

A factory in my city, nearly 4 or 5 years ago, I forgot details, I know they are the first one factory in China to copy wallenstein BX series. till now, we China produce BX42S, BX62S, BX62R, BX92R.
But no one produce BX72R now, that is high technical for us now.

Update. Well, I went with the Wallenstein. "Any decision is better than none." Part of my decision was that the Value Leader was to ship from Oregon on 6/10. Who knows when it would actually show up in MA. The Wallenstein ships from PA and will be here Tuesday-Wednesday.

Good choice -- you will be impressed with the Wallenstein.

Following extensive research, I purchased a Wallenstein BX62. Received it last week. Used for about 1 hour and am extremely impressed. My tractor has about 50 hp at the PTO. No issues with power.

My machine did not have the extra set of blades included (as stated in current promotion). I called Wallenstein and was told I needed to go thru my dealer to get the blades. Was then told "Sorry that you need to do it this way but please be assured that we will take care of you thru the dealer"

I have a good feeling about this purchase.

I know the both of you will not regret the purchase of a Wallenstein.
