Default McCormick No. 7 6 foot Drop Spreader and Ezee Flow 8 foot Drop Spreader

Got a picture of the McCormick No. 7 Drop Spreader putting out the ag lime. Last month I found an old Ezee Flow drop spreader in Alabama that was not rusted too bad. Sandblasted, primed and painted it . One of my daughters painted it and my other daughter put the decals on it. That was my Fathers Day present.

Here is picture of inside of McCormick No. 7 and also the Ezee Flow Drop Spreaders. Chart is for Ezee Flow. I would like to find a good chart for the McCormick No. 7 Fertilizer Distributor and a Manual for it also.-128-jpg-126-jpg-124-jpg

Very nice restoration! I would love to find something like this for my fields at a good price. Reason my fields don't get fertilized is what the custom guys charge on top of the fertilizer.

That is quite possibly the coolest gift I have ever seen It's definitely something your going to want to store in the garage and not in the corner of the field.

I own a old JD 8 foot drop spreader. I only use it every few years but the first time I used it the thing paid for itself. I can get ag lime for 8 dollars a ton from the local quarry as compared to spending about 160 dollars for a ton of pelletized lime. Mine is no where near the condition your is though. That spreader is literally parade ready.

SUPPER 55: Thank you for the comment. My daughters that did the work (Twins) told me that I was the only dad that got a drop spreader painted and decals applied by his daughters for Fathers Day in history. You mentioned your 8 ft. John Deere. This weekend, I will be picking up a 10 ft. John Deere spreader, sight unseen. May be a rusted pig in a poke. Hope it is fixable. Ag lime at the local co-op here is about $30 per ton. Our quarry closed down about 3 years ago.

Both spreaders look great! I've been looking for one like that for my food plots for a while now.

Yes, they are handy about spreading ag lime. Of course you can spread fertilizer and large type seed also. I was lucky and found one that I believe was only used for lime. That is the 6 th one I have found and 5 of them were locked up. They are still around, but getting harder to find. An equipment dealer in Kentucky said that the Amish have bought them and use them to spread chicken litter.
