Geting ready to undertake another bushhog restore project. But just wondering what HP rating the gearbox is if anyone knows.

ITs a 5' cutter. Here are some pics

The gearbox details:

Ratio: 1.5:1
Input shaft: 1-3/8" smooth
Output: 1.550" 12-spline
Output threads: 1-14
Bolt circle: 4-bolts, 4.75" sq

And the height of the inputshaft from the mounting flat is 6.5"

Not sure on that assembly tag, its hard to read, but looks like: 9305 0325000

I think KK's could come with either a 40hp or a 60hp gearbox. Would just like to know which I have. Will likely fix this up and sell it, would be nice to know.

Thanks.

I had a 5' KK brushhog. I bought it new and mine had the 40HP gearbox. Mine was painted yellow also, not blue, but it looked identical to yours. I sold mine and have a flail mower now.

Everywhere I have looked have listed them with a choice of 40hp or 60hp gearboxes. Not sure if they look the same? All the stock photos I see look just like mine.

But I notice EA lists the 60" 60HP model being 25# heavier. So something on the gearbox has to be substantially heavier/bigger.

I cant find anything yet that gives a way to identify the difference.

And I thought I was the only one who suffered from C.R.S.
Glad I'm not the only one.
