Hello all, I need some help identifying a grapple that I may try to purchase. All that I know is that it was sold to the owner when he purchased his tractor (40ish HP Mahindra) as part of the package about a year ago and he lives in western Maine I think near Bethel. This is the only image I have, he doesn't know what make or model and he is getting back to me on the width. What would be a fair price to ask for this grapple (I know I'm lacking a lot of information) that is about a year old and lightly used?

My next question is, I will have 3 primary uses for this grapple cleaning up brush from cutting fire wood, moving logs/rocks, and we will be clearing land for horse pastures. I would like to be able to use the grapple to clean up the small debris rocks and brush around the larger trees. Will this style grapple work for what I will be asking it to do or should I be looking else where.

I would guess a 60" rake grapple. Fine for brush not to good for rock moving.

This grapple looks a lot like my Land Pride GSC1560. Its great for brush, limbs, logs, big rock and dirt raking both forward & back. The tine spacing on mine is 6" so it will not pick up smaller rock. I'm sure it will do what you want to do. Have the tractor owner call the dealer that sold the tractor and ask what brand grapple would have been sold with that tractor.

Calling the dealer is a good idea. I will give that a try thanks.

I think you are right about the titan, from what I can tell from the pictures they look very similar. I still haven't heard back on the size. This is one of those friend of a friend situations and I don't have the direct contact information so getting any info is like pulling teeth. I'm told he paid $3000 for it, if it is titan that must have included adding 3rd functiom. I was going to offer him $1500 but that's the price new... so that's not happening.

My advice is to know the weight of it before you commit. You will be much happier with a 300-400 pound grapple than you will be with a 500-600+ pound grapple on a compact tractor.

I prefer the "L" bottom style, like these: Everything Attachments | Skid Steer Attachments, Tractor Attachments, 3 Point Hitch Attachments, and Farm Tractor Implements.

My first grapple was a "Rake" or "Open Bottom" style.

For my uses, that are the same as yours, I like the L style better.
