Welcome to TBN. You will need to expand on your post to make sense to this old man.

Sponge Bob Square Pants is a children's cartoon. The main character (who lives inside a pineapple under the sea) has a job cooking "crabby patties" at the local fast food joint (The Chum Bucket) which is owned by Mr. Crabs.

I think there must be a missing decade in my life - ha,ha.

It started - First episode: May 1, 1999, when my daughter was two. She never spent one minute in a crib, her crib was my lap.

I worked on the computer and she sat on my lap watching Sponge Bob at the same time. I swore that toon wouldn't last a year. The more I watched, the more I got hooked, realizing a lot of the jokes were for adults. Soon we both watched and enjoyed together.

Now she's 17, and it's something her and I share, and no one else understands when we laugh about events and bring up a Sponge Bob reference. Drives my wife nuts as she never "gets the joke"

As she gets ready to go off to college it will be one of our most charming things her and I shared as Daddy daughter. Thanks Sponge Bob, I enjoyed it as much as she did.

Pearl: It's time for your pill, Daddy. [Pearl places a large football-sized pill in front of her father]

Mr. Crabs: I hate the pill....

My kids and I have the same relationship and they are both in college.

Lol, yes i remember watching spongebob squarepants with my son. He was 25 though, he did a stint as a nanny and the kids he was caring for watched it all the time. I found it quite entertaining.

Well, I guess I'm late to the scene as I have only been watching it for about 8 or 9 years. It's gone through 3 kids and really they all still enjoy it (myself included). And whoever mentioned it... yes, there are a lot of innuendos in it that make it funny to adults, and not fully understood by children.... fun for all!

I still don't quite understand the purpose of this thread though... will the OP ever return?
