Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

Has anyone used this type of quick hitch. Since you have to get off the seat anyway to release and for the top link with Pat's, I do not see too much of a disadvantage with this one.

I think the main advantage that Pat's has over that one is the set screws to align the hooks to the the desired angle.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

I guess I may be the only one in the world with a problem with Pat's hitch. I installed it on my Kubota L3400, but now find my toplink is too short for my cutter to sit level.

Has anyone else found this to be a problem?
Where can I find a reallllllly long toplink???

I had to remove the hitch and go back to the old fashioned way of attaching implements.

If I cannot find a solution, I guess my hitch may be making an appearance on ebay! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

A farm and home store, Orshlans, TSC, Farm & Fleet, should have a selections of top links in various lengths.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

I put the Easy Change on my Kubota 3130 this morning and I love it! Box blade on in a couple of minutes, then hooked up the bush hog in record time. I've told 2 of my friends about this, and next to the front end loader, this is the handiest thing I have for my tractor.

My toplink is out a good way too, but I leave the front edge of the bush hog angled down a little anyway. PTO worked fine. The boxblade is level. I read the posts here a lot and finally ordered a set. I recommend this to anyone that changes implements frequently.

And about the posts in reference to the instructions: Mine were fine. Read them and hooked it up no sweat in a little less than an hour (including getting the tools).

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

Glad you have had good sucess with them. I bought mine a few years ago at a show and I couldn't be happier.
I got to meet Pat and his staff too.
The only thing they won't work with is my Japanese tiller. I'll work that one out soon.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

Is there any version of Pat's Easy Change System (or another quick-change system) that is compatible with Category II implements?

Thanks all,

Grant

Yes, Pat's comes in a Cat II version as well.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

Has anyone used Pat's system with a B series Kubota and a 5' Landpride rotary cutter?

Just trying to figure out whether I'll need a new top link and/or a PTO shaft extension.

The cutter is all packed up for winter and would be a PITA to pull out ... thought perhaps someone else might have this information - sparing me the PITA.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

I'm considering the Pat's system vs. the Worksaver QH.

Little concerned about the installation instructions of the Pat's as it sounds like it can be a pain. Have the instructions improved?

How about the issue with the toplink that niner was talking about - is this a common issue - will I need a new toplink?

Anyone use this successfully on their L3400?
