I don't know what you mean by the "Bent washer thingie", but I would be willing to bet they are Bellvue washers. MSC or any large industrial supply house will have them.

Daryl . . . I am the one who originally described them as bent washer thingies and I think it is a GREAT description! I take offense to the fact that you don't know what that means! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

Ordered an Easy Change system for my BX22 this morning, looks like a good way to go. Decided against the stabilizer bar and will go with the "tuned pvc" version that others have talked about in their posts. An extra $28 seemed a bit steep although I'm sure it would have worked. Switching between mowers and my chipper is a pain and hoping this will do the trick for me.

I just get close and manually adjust mine. One arm is right on the other needs to be adjusted. Not the best solution since it often requires several times on and off but it works (and is still way, way better than the old way). The PVC thing is a good idea, I might have to make some of those. I have the spreader bar (still in the box) but my pins are different widths so the PVC thing might be better.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

Ordered a set of the Easy Change System last Tuesday, received them at the house on Thursday, did a quick check out of the installing and played with them on Friday evening, and completed the installation of them on Saturday. Total time for installation including removal of my ball cap and head scratching to figure things out was about an hour. Whoops - this does not include the time to find the tools necessary to do the job. Just a few by the way.

The instructions could use a little more work to help with the installation process, but they are workable. I used the system on Sunday afternoon to till various portions of our garden area, dig a furrow with the potato plow, use the back blade to prepare the bed's for sweet potatoes, and then to put on the drawbar to tow the lawn sweeper.

Alignment of the tractor to the equipment is still an issue, but being able to drop the lower hitch arms and pick up the implement is nice. I'll have to make a couple of minor adjustments to get the system aligned properly - adjustment of the four set screws should take just a few minutes.

All-in-all, it is a good system and I'm expecting to save my back, legs, and arms from some of the painful implement man-handling. $200 investment = saved $$$$$ in back injuries!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

Does anyone who's using Pat's system have extendable lower 3ph arms?

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

My M4900 has extendable (telescoping) lower links. Since I've installed the Pat's I have not extended the links. Once everything is adjusted (width and angle) you just back up and lift. Best equipment investment I've made.

I guess you could extend the links prior to backing up to the implement in case you aren't straight on. Then just back up to lock.

I had no clearance problems.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System - Order Online!

Is anyone using Pat's system with Top n Tilt? I know the top link would be fine but I'm wondering if there'd be any problems with the tilt portion. It seems like it might torque the connections a bit but I don't know. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
