HarryN, yes you have to take the spreader bar off, but it makes it so that your arms line up with the pins on your implements. I got one and I use it all the time, besides you need to go to the back of your tractor to hook up the shaft, so what is the deal? Anyone that does not have the spreader bar,I have to say it helps a lot.

Just received my Pat's Easy Change System.

Needed two more thin shims to fit my 1960 IH B275 Diesel, but other than that it fits great. Only took about a hour to install from start to finish.
I strongly recommend the spreader bar, it even works well with my brushhog's driveshaft. The clips to hold up or down the Easy Change latches are a nice touch.
I only have to get off the tractor to connect the top link for either my Gannon or my Brush hog. (A hydraulic top link would be sooo nice but too pricey for me.)

Vicki was great to work with, sent me out the kit to see if it would work on my tractor on invoice.

Couldn't order through this website so I ended up paying another $20. No big deal.

Now I have to find some more 3 point implements to play with. (BIG SMILE):applause:

This is not on point but I wanted to give the Pat's folks some kudos. I have the Pat's system for my L3800. Works great. I bent one of the U bolts (operator error). I am very busy right now, so instead of taking the U bolt to a hardware store and matching it, I emailed Pat's and asked them to send me a replacement and a spare, and bill me for it. I just received an email from Pat's telling me that my two U bolts plus the lock nuts are on the way via UPS at no charge to me. Now that's customer service! One more reason to do business with Pat's.

Silly question - will this fit on my L5740 (that has the telescoping links) without modification? And, I order the CAT 2 with CAT1 links, correct? (All my implements are CAT 1).

Yesterday we took of the bush hog and put on the box blade for the winter. It just took minutes unlike before.

I just ordered one and found the same Pat's for $1 more at Agri Supply but it includes the spreader bar that is $25 from these folks! I am also concerned because my order does not show the shipping address which is different from the billing address. No one to call to make sure this goes to Montana and not Washington State. Tried to respond to order conformation "E" Mail but no response so far.

I put it on yesterday and went to move my disc to a different part of the barn. Hook up was a snap, BUT, now the top link is too short to reach the top connection on the disc with the extra length added.
I can't see any way to correct it without buying a longer top link, which doesn't thrill me.
Anyone else have this problem?
