Thank you! What is the difference between the Cat 1 and Cat 2 ends? From the pictures it looks like one is cast and the other is not?

That is correct, you will need a longer top link. I wish they warned people of that better. I knew of it but I had extra top links around from old larger tractors so it wasn't an issue to me.

lol I was just thinking that after putting up my post, I have an old top link so will cut & weld in the extra needed,

buffitz45 according to tractordata.com its a cat 11. also just ordered my pat's qh today. I did a lot of searching on the net and realize i might need a longer top link, no big deal. Oh and for those who look at my avatar, the rear blower is replaced with a front mount. I will update my pic soon, so i don't have to worry about my pto drive being too short.

Any comment on not telling people their top links may end up too short?

Not everybody needs to change their top link or PTO shaft. It depends on the tractor and the implement. But we have added a note about this to the product description.

Both the category 1 and 2 models are now cast. The cat 1 -> cat 2 and cat 2 -> cat 1 conversion models are still hand welded.

Not everybody needs to change their top link or PTO shaft. It depends on the tractor and the implement. But we have added a note about this to the product description.

I had a phone conversation and said it was for a Kubota L5740. What's puzzling is that the top link distance to my Cat 1 disc is over 37". I'm having a hard time finding a Cat 2 top link that will travel that far.
Any ideas?
