Yeah, if you order through us we get a commission, which goes to keep TBN free and fast.

I ordered mine through TBN and the only advantage was that I got to keep using TBN. Of course, that probably would have happened anyway, because other people are ordering things through TBN too! John

I ordered this easy change thing, but instead of the 2 1/2" additional length on the lower arms, I measured four inches from the old pin hole to the new pin latch. That puts a little extra length on the ol PTO shaft, and in the case of cat 1 hitches, that may be too much additional separation. I know I am a little concerned, and will need to take the shaft apart and do some measurement before I use the tiller or mower.

How did you deal with the issue of pto shaft, and the four extra inches of three point hitch?

I had no problem but I suppose on a really small tractor (like something with a limited cat 1) you might have a problem. My PTO shafts are long enough they have more than enough play in them to compensate for any added length.

The angle the Pat's sits on is adjustable with screws so you can make it perfectly straight for whatever pin width you want.

I had to have about 3 inch longer tubes in my tiller for the Pats system to work right. It did work, but as soon as you got the tiller downhill from the tractor, going over a swale, it would come apart.

As for how it attaches, someone here realized that the bolts and the adjusting screws are not really needed. I agree with that. Put the shims in, the pins in and away you go.

I went to the shop to get them, but they knew I heard about them on TBN. Would that qualify for you to get the commission?

Well yeah, but since there is no way for us to track people who go to their shop to pick them up, so we don't get many of those. At some point we'll probably have an 800-order line for people to call in the orders to us, and then we'd forward them to the vendors.

Has anyone out there tried hooking your Pat's system to a Landpride tiller? The tiller's bottom link pins are removable, and slide into holes punched into 2 parallel pieces of plate steel, rather than being bolt-on pins like on the rakes, rear blades, etc.

The Pat's links will have to slide up and in between the 2 pieces of plate steel on the tiller to hook onto the pins, but I'm concerned that the Pat's links may be too wide to fit. Can anyone tell me the width of the links, so I can go measure the gap between the plates on the tiller to see if it'll work?

I used a TC24D with Pat's Easy Change and a Land Pride RTA-1550 tiller this weekend. That combination has been used several times this summer and there have been no problems at all. The lower hooks fit with room to spare.
