This is a wing type setup I have been working on. A few people expressed some interest in it. I hope it my spark an idea in some of the very creative minds on this forum. The wing setup did not perform to my expectations.
The wing is not big enough (tall) and not off set enough. What happens is that there is so much snow that ¾ of the bit falls back into the road and ends up making more work. The trip edge is a problem due to them tripping in heavy snow, but nice to have if you do hit some thing. I also ran into traction problems going up hill with the ice, even with chains. My intentions were for it to be used as a wing. It would work well mounted centered and used as a plow. The only modifications to my bucket were 3 holes, (2) 7/8 and (1) 3/8. To remove the plow just release the 2 pins in the push frame and unhook the chain.
Back to the drawing board, again.
