Hi Everyone!

Long time lurker. My wife and I will be getting a New Kioti CK2510 HST w/ FEL this coming Saturday. I want to purchase a few attachments but I'm not sure where to start when it comes to sizing? I'd like to get a rear blade for snow and grading our gravel driveway. Our drive is very flat. Since I don't have the tractor to measure the width at the rear tires, I can only go off of specs. with ag tires at 49.2 inches wide. I'm get R4 industrial tires which I'm sure will add a few inches? I can get a new Woods RB60 from a small dealer in my area for $550. I'm not to concerned about running over snow that might be missed if the blade is a little short when on and angle. To go to a 6 footer is is another $150? I heard too big of a blade can pull the tractor to either side? I'm also interested in a Piranah front loader teeth to remove tornapple trees and brush. I will look into a rotary mower in the spring. I'm keeping my riding mower for grass cutting chores, so the tractor will be used to keep the brush/sapplings from slowly taking everything over. We have a little over 11.5 acres with alot of pine trees to go around. I think the size of this machine will be just right for all the nooks and crannies we have to get around.
Any ideas woould be appreciated!

Hi tiogajoe, I think your thoughts are right on target, yes the R4's will add some width, but I cannot tell you how much. And while I don't have one, all reports on the Piranha tooth bar is a very welcome addition. I think the 5 foot blade is about right for your machine. Good luck with it and welcome to the Kioti "pack"

The wife was a big part in chosing our tractor. We looked at a Yanmar324, Ls2025 and the Kabuto B2620. While they were all nice, we could not help but notice how much more the Kioti weighed and how much it could lift. Several hundred pounds more in both catagories. Fit and finish is also top notch.

Hi Joe.

I got my CK2510 in April. I experienced some set-up problems because of an incompetent dealer, but it all got straightened out. I got the Backhoe and FEL. Only other thing so far is a boom pole (TSC) and I'm making a ballast bucket. It's about 50.5" wide with the R4. And I think too big a rear blade would pull to the side if offset. Especially if you don't have any front wgt to keep the steering tires planted. I am also thinking of the Piranah blade for digging/brush removal. Also for snow removal. I saw a home-made pianah style bar here. Looked good and cheap but I don't have the tools/workshop to do it.

It's a great tractor. Very strong. The manual is kinda useless, tho I still read it from cover to cover. I'm gonna get the shop manual.

Good Luck.

PS Who did you buy from? I bought from M&H Tractor, Middletown NY. And it was fixed by Bassani in Hamburg NJ:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Buggs67,

Thanks for the info. I bought mine at Jims equipment in Campbell NY. Seems like nice folks and they sell alot of Kioti Tractors. I will probaly be going with a Woods RB60 blade and getting Piranah Teeth. I spoke with Harry at BXpanded and I have to measure the inside width of the bucket. He then makes them to a custom fit. $269 and about $27 to ship. Go to His web site. I have not read one negative comment about them??

You will NOT be disappointed with the Piranha Tooth Bar.

Installation is pretty easy too. Grab a couple of c-clamps to keep the PTB clamped in position on the bucket, mark the hole locations, and drill them out. I bought a step-drill to do it with. Be sure to have plenty of lubricant on hand and keep the bit lubricated. It took about 20 minutes to install it, and I've been very happy with mine.

Also, notice the location of where the cutting edge of the bucket wraps around the outer edge of the bucket. Some people on certain tractors have reported that the wrap-around part of the cutting edge interfered with drilling the holes (and they had to drill the hole through that also). In the following picture you can see that my PTB mounting point extended back well past that cutting edge wrap around. If you have any questions about yours, I'd send Harry a pic and some measurements.

I'm a definite for the Piranah. You might want to consider a Box Blade instead of a rear blade. Plenty of discussion on here about both. And a 5' BB is cheap at TSC. Makes a good counter weight/ballast.

Although the post is a year and a half old, my two cents. I live in VA and a 5' scraper blade at a 45 degree angle was a like a planer board in 12" of snow moving in a forward direction. The tractor's *** end was pushed sideways. I have no ballast in my tires. Going Backwards and turning the blade 180 degrees worked better. My drive is gravel, and it's tricky getting the height correct so as not to move a bunch of rocks with the snow but I did my neighbors asphalt drive and forward with the FEL was OK, but rearward with the grader spun around was much better. Box blades aren't for snow. They move material in one direction. The R4 tires are an OK choice for all around yard and brush work, R-1 and R-2 will tear up your yard but would be great in the woods and snow. R-3 is a lawn tire by the way.
