Hi, I've been researching work lights. I found this site this morning. Has anyone purchased from them? If so can you tell us about the type of lights purchased, quality, installation, functionality, company's responsiveness and your level of satisfaction? Thanks!

So I left a message with ROPS Lights on the web page asking the owner if he participates here on TBN. He does have a FB page, but not much activity there, although looking through his few posts (new on FB as of July 2014) did increase my comfort level. It's certainly not unusual for a supplier to be a sole proprietor. I like the idea of the LED lights but decided for my use, snow plowing, the BX-panded 55 watt Hella halogens should be fine for me. My BX2660 can handle the amps especially since I really don't use other accessories. I also keep a battery minder hooked up in the winter. I also like the BX-panded wiring harness, clamp design and mounting clips a bit better. So I placed my order with BXp today for the smaller two light system.
But to help others, here is the ROPS Lights FB page link. The lights/harness/clamps look first rate. His website has some customer comments. They all seem happy (of course). :) Be well, Mike

You can certainly do them cheaper by buying the components separately, but the two-light set price is not so bad if you really need a plug and play kit.

Also, if you have a foldable rope, there should be threaded bosses on the front of the ROPS near the hinge, and that is a good place to mount lights without clunky clamp brackets. Not all BX models have foldable ROPS though.

Here's an example:

Just brought my metric bolt set up to find out what size that hole is!

I hope to mount to the top but that is Plan B.

Can you please elaborate on the battery minder you use? Model numbers, etc. Thank you so much!

I mounted 55w halogen lights on my ROPS, and then replaced them with 48w LEDs. Huge difference in light. You can get them on Amazon for $26 for a pair with free shipping and I think I paid even less!

Amazon.com: SUCOOL 2pcs one pack 4 inch square 48w led work light off road Flood lights truck lights 4x4 off road tractor jeep work lights fog lamp For Jeep Cabin/Boat/SUV/Truck/Car/ATV/automative/ 1-3V: Automotive

This is a simple project:

Find a power source (there is probably an unused work light plug under your seat)
Mount the lights (magnet, U bolt or drill and tap hole)
String wires and install a switch
Done!
