I received my E.T.A brush cutter today and it looks awesome! Every single seem is welded top and bottom, very nice!
The only weak point I can see would be the front and rear guards, I think chains may be better. I personally will never have a problem with them because it's a food plot tool and won't see much heavy use.
i have been impressed with the engineering and stoutness of there implements, **** good looking welds as well!

I recently purchased the same brush cutter from ETA. I picked it up in September and used it one time. I replied to a post from ETA and gave my comments and posted pictures. At this time I am very satisfied with the cutter. I used it to cut 3-4ft grass/weeds on about 2 acres of sloped land. I have a Kubota B3030 tractor and it handled the implement just fine. I am looking into getting wheel spacers for my tractor because the slope is steep enough that I only feel comfortable cutting it vertically or diagonally. Maybe the spacers would give me the confidence to cut it horizontally as well. Anyway, I think you will like your cutter and for the price I could not find one made any better. Good luck.

I still have to figure out how to use the slip clutch, never used one with that before. I might go up and cut the neighbors field to give it a try tomorrow.

Look at the owners manual & make sure you get it properly broken in & tested. If outside for a year they often rust solid & stop slipping.

Typically you loosen the bolts around the clutch pack a certain number of turns. Mark the edge with a pen or paint. Start the tractor & PTO. Stop the tractor & PTO. Go check the marks you made earlier to make sure they aren't lined up, indicating it slipped properly. Then you tighten up the bolts X number of turns again.

I saw that in the PTO manual, I'll check it out.

When I first got my cutter I called ETA customer service about checking the slip clutch before I used the cutter. They told me it was set at the factory and there was no need to go through the procedure as listed in the manual before I use the cutter. Down the road it may be wise to do a check but not initially. Before I used the cutter I made sure there was oil in the gear box and the cutter was connected properly to the 3pt. and that was about it. Everything seemed to work fine but I really didn't challenge the cutter in any way so the slip clutch didn't get any action.

That is a good looking cutter. It is on my short list. Let us know what you think of yours after you have used it for a while.

I'm thinking about getting an ETA 60" Brush Cutter for my JD 3720; does anyone know if it's iMatch compatible?
