Thanks for the advice. As for draining for winter, not sure where you are from but its gets to -40C here, I set up the pumps on the back if you look closely for the following: I need to winterize with RV antifreeze, so on the back of the sprayer there are 2 valves (2 spots to suck from) 1 is the tank, and the other is just a hose hanging there to put into a pail of RV antifreeze. so what I did was to winterize was the following

you should not need to use RV antifreeze... it looks like 1/2" or smaller inside diameter hose you are using. you should be able to just blow it all out with an air compressor.

air velocity is what you need. say 10 gallon or larger air tank, so you have air capacity to deliver a higher CFM for a few seconds at 90 PSI or higher. should give you a high enough air velocity through those hoses and pipes. to clear them of majority if not all water. the few droplets of water will not harm anything. "pipes full of water yes" less than half full (looking at cross section view of a hose/pipe) you shouldn't have a problem when and if the water/chemicals freeze. as long as the water has some place to expand to. it will not put forces on things to cause a break/crack. water only expands so much. it is not spray foam. that expands 10 plus times of what is put in.

======
my issue has been with dust, bugs getting into a garden hose between uses, chemicals left in tank and water evaporating some, leaving a crusty residue. all of things causing issues with boom nozzles to hand gun nozzles.

and of course dog hair. still surprises me sometimes where i end up finding there hair. shaving them, brush them, bath them, groom them. and still there hair finds there way into odd places.

That is a very impressive build and gives me ideas about building one for myself. Great job.

done 2 years now and still working...

Still impressive. I have a 10 ft wide 60 gallon sprayer that I added some aluminum tubes to and made it 20ft of coverage but it's still lacking. There are just no decent sprayers out there unless you pay a lot and are willing to accept marginal quality and a 200 gallon tank. Yours looks perfect.

How many hours of build time do you suppose you have in building the booms and tank frame? How have those hinges worked out? What size tubing did you use?

Great build.

thanks, probably 30 hours total...did it all winter, but only a few minutes at a time. All tubing was either 1x1 or 2x1, the hinges are holding up, but definitely need to re-do them...they are pretty flimsy. Winter project this year. I think I may add a bit to the booms also

Is your tubing the steel that's just a little thinner than 1/8"? What is your secondary thinking on hinges? You could get by with a bolt and tube arrangement for a hinge that is pretty tight with no slop. Are you aware of any places that may sell sprayer parts like hinges?
