I currently have a bcs tiller that works very well. I believe a 3 pt tiller will help me out more since I'm tilling close to 3 acres now. What is anyone's experance with 3 pt tillers ? They better than a walk behind? Thanks matt

In the 1970's we had a Gravely walk behind and did maybe an acre. Beat the heck out of a hoe. If your using a 3pt PTO tiller on your 3032e you'll get the three acres done to quickly and it won't seem like work. Stretch it out for a few days.

If you have a hydrostatic trans, you should be ok. Geared tractors need a really low gear.

I don't know how old you are Matt, but three acres with a walk behind would be a killer for most I suspect. I have a Landpride 3pt forward tiller and can hardly wait to get it in the dirt each season. I still use my walk behind now and then however. I do use a turn plow in the fall which makes things go even better now.
Cheer,
Mike

I have a tractor mounted 42" King Kutter rotory tiller that works great. For tight areas I use my 1964 Montgomery Ward garden tractor with a 32" tiller, or a walk behind Craftsman 26" tiller. Not only are the tractor tillers way easier, but they do a better job. Slow speeds are the key.

Yup, What they said. They are worth there weight in gold if you have serious tilling to do and it sounds like you do. The hardest part about tilling is hooking it up to the 3 point.

I've had a BCS for close to 20 years and I love it. But I bought a 3 pt tiller a few years ago, and it really compliments the BCS well. It's giving my BCS a well deserved break from the big jobs like primary tilling at the beginning and end of the season. The BCS does all the detail work and then some. The time you'll save by running the larger tiller will amaze you.
