I know. I use SolidWorks nearly all day, nearly every day. My habit is to rotate while looking.

Update-Re:Custom 3 point attachment Slow going better than no going

I am building this myself as paying a fabricator would be too costly. I look at this as a hobby project.

I've found steel has gotten expensive, not have access to various shops like I've had in my past.

Freight and cutting charges cost more than the material.

I've got most of my material, with a few more items I still need to source. The weight rack brackets will be the hardest items to fabricate.

Photos attached show where I'm at.

It took some time cutting away the section at the bottom of the hitch so that I can modify the hitch to accept a clevis type lower link such as found on HD Box Blades.

I find it interesting that there have no replies to these two threads.

Nice idea and very well thought out.
Price point seems a little high for the average Tractorbynet member but could sell at JD dealerships in affluent areas.

Got to clean up my Workshop, What a mess.

If I knew how that material cost would be near 3 times what I first estimated and that time wise, I figure I have 5 times as many hours as I estimated going into to this, I would have never gone through with this project.

However, all in all my concept is working out well, and aside form a few more bits of hardware, I've made all the steel items. Now comes the welding, & painting once it gets warm enough to work outside.
It was -33 F in Enfield NH last night and -20F here. As there was no wind chill, it has felt colder other days.

I did finish my work lights. 18 Watt LED's are surprisingly bright, and not a bad buy at $45 including the switch and mounting bracket.

Re: Combination CAT 1 QUICK HITCH, Removable 2" reciever,,Counter Weight & Tool Carri

3 Pt Hitch remains open for use with all other features attached.

Mike, that's a really slick design you've come up with, but I would suggest for that plastic tool carrier on top to redesign it so that it has square tubes on the bottom of it that dropped down into slightly larger square tubes mounted on top of the quick hitch. You could use a pin on each side to lock it in place. When you wanted to remove it, just pop the two pins out, and lift up on the tool carrier.

In short, design it so that the tool carrier box can slide into it's own 2" receiver hitch for a quick removal. I think that would be quicker than having it bolted on, the tool carrier just looks like it would get in the way whenever you hooked up any 3pt attachment.

Pinning on the plastic box is not a bad idea. The Ammo Boxes on top of the Counter weight use 4 Lathes to hold them on.

The Counter weight is dropped to run a PTO drive shaft.

Using any non powered attachment, the Plastic box can stay, along with the Counter weight, ammo boxes, etc. The Counter weight is formed so that the top link can be adjusted. For real heavy attachments like my 6' landpride box blade, i'll probably drop the counter weight. The plastic Box will just touch the ROPS in the highest lift position of the hitch, but that can be controled with the adjustable stop on the lever plus just being careful.

I'm considering geting a 3 Pt metal carry-all from AGRI Supply to use as a frame of a little wooden "Pick-up " type box with a tailgate, i'd build. I'm thinking 50" wide x 43" deep with 24" min. tall sides. I figure it would carry 500 lbs of firewood even with the counter weight, and close to 1000 Lbs Without the CW. That way I dont have to bring two vehicles way in the woods when I want to cut just a 1/2 hours worth of firewood or do some clean up.

Added the lower Draw links and Upper link to CAD model, Also shown is how I will mount the Ammo Boxes to top of CW, using Quick Release toggle latches.

LOL, my table saw often gets used like yours, in fact most of my shop surfaces get very busy and collect odd projects.
