btw do you have a fel to counterweight the rear implements? rear tires loaded as well?

Yep, have an FEL, rear tires are not loaded. Talked to the LP dealer again today (going to look at the 1272 tomorrow again) and he said based on what I have told him that I am using the cutter for and he see no reason for me to go heavier. He actually says the lighter ones are easier to control since they "follow" (pulled easier) and maybe not go where they want like the heavier one might. I'm sure someone here would differ with that statement, and maybe he was trying to give a specific example (hill or something that i missed) but if I don't need the heavier one and its close to my max anyway then there doesn't seem to be much need to put that much more strain on the tractor if I don't have to.

I can't offer any advice about Landpride vs Rhino, although I have a RCR1248 that has worked well for me. I will say that if you haven't already done so, spare an hour of your time and call all of the dealers that are within a reasonable driving distance. When I was shopping I found very significant differences in pricing between dealers of the same brand. In the end I was fortunate that the LP dealer in my county happened to have the best price, even so I felt better after getting a good understanding of the local market pricing. Best of luck!
