Does anyone know of a source for a 60 inch lawn roller with an approx. weight of 1000-1500 pounds? I have a BX 2200, and it is capable of pulling more of a roller than the small 3-4 ft. lawn and garden rollers that are readily found. Thanks for your help.

Will,
check out this photo, I made this roller up using an old water tank. It is 5'x2' and weighs in at 1200lbs when full. Really does a nice job pushing the rocks back down in the spring.

Nice job, Von. What do you fill it with, plain water? I've got an old pressure tank lying around; maybe this will turn out to be a good use for it.

Hi Mark,
Yeh, just water. I have a neighbor who has one filled with old motor oil. It came with his old house. Must have been a ***** to move. I would like to redo mine with a 2'x5'x1/4" pipe and just use the ends from the tank. I don't know where to get any pipe that size, if you see any let me know!

I have run into the same problem, the BX being a new size and type of tractor, I find diffuculty finding implements appropriate for it. I finally got the expensive Kubota box blade, I wanted a heavier one and it could handle a heavier one but everything I found lying around was too big or was made for GT's. I also wanted a seed/fertilizer spreader and finally found a 72 inch unit from Suprseed and a Herd spreader also. The roller is a good question too. Perhaps two of the 36 inch units from Home Dept on a custom pull bar or even three. One thing, some dealers and customers are confused about exactly what a BX is capable off. Some dealers are for whatever reason seriously underestimating it's capabilities thinking I guess that it is a giant GT, not so! I would like an aerator/plugger unit too and so far all I find is those little toys that you stack cinder blocks on to weight down. This is kinda funny but an example of the BX power, I had cleared a large area of brush, dead trees and had stacked the stuff all over. I used the FEL like a bull dozer to push it all into one giant pile. Then I realized the huge pile was to close to my trees to burn. The pile was all tangled together and fairly sturdy so I just pushed into it with the FEL and 4WD and and shoved the whole dang thing clear off my trees. The pile of branches dwarfed the tiny tractor. What was even more fun was all the cracking and snapping of arm sized branches as the BX shouldered into the pile all four wheels spinning at times as it gave it's all. A real attention getter to my neighbor and his 455 who had to haul his by hand after he made the same mistake. Why didn't I move his for him, well h--l, I had already loaned him my Stihl saw and moved two dump truck loads of dirt for him so he was on his own there. We need a list of vendors who make small but "real" implements for BX size machines and other mini tractors. Has anyone noticed how expensive the stuff is too and that it always has to be shipped in and they only get one truck per year so they want 250 dollars for special shipping? Good grief. J

I am in the same boat. My Ingersoll is in the same place. Too big for garden tractor stuff, but too small for big tractor stuff. One more problem I have is no 3ph. Just try finding something big for a sleeve hitch/w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif I am a little more restricted with only 2 wheel drive and no conventional PTO, but I do have a hydraulic PTO with 10 gph output./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif The hard part is finding stuff to run on it.

True the BX models haven't been on the market all that long, and at least up here the BX hasn't really caught on yet compare to the B7500.

The attachment do cost and it seems by the time one purchase FEL & rear blade or box scraper & tiller etc.. thats more than half of the cost of the BX tractor.
Maybe thats why some of use take our crayons and come up w/new ideas to adapt implements.

At least they don't charge us dealer prep...or do they. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Trescrows,
You have to shop around and look for good used implements. Heck, everything I own when it comes to my tractoring is either used or I made it myself. Got the tractor used and then found a used loader that would fit, next found someone that would swap my ag tires and rims for his turfs. All my implements are used except the 6ft. rake that I got for $100 that was missing parts from CTS. Thats have the fun of it, the hunt for the right deal! Not to mention the money saved.
