I posted a couple days ago about a Pronovost blower listed in the paper.
Went to check it out and it was a model P-620 in excellent shape. ( The paint wasn't even completly off the chain or sprockets)
The gentleman told me it was only used 4-5 times and I believe him. He was asking 900.00 ; I offered 800 and he said sure. Now I own it.
'Got a couple questions :
I've got a 26hp/21pto 4wd tractor , do I have enough power ? (It is a hydro.)
It looks like some "oil" holes on the pto shaft cover, not sure what they're for ?
There appears to be a plug in the middle of the gear box side plate, is that the oil level point ?
There are no dealers near me , what/who is a good paarts source ?
Can't wait to try it but I've got to "drop" my backhoe. (tomorrow)
Many Thanks,

The Pronovost P-620 is rated for 20-30 hp so you should be ok. Looks to be a nice one Pronovost Blowers

Congrats!!

You're roughly where I am as far as width of blower and pto hp. You should be fine. You also got a great price.

I have 30PTO hp and a 78" blower - I've never had a problem, even when I've used it to open up plowed in driveways, (easily 6' of packed snow).

The HST is the preferred transmission for a blower, you can easily adjust your ground speed to match the weight and depth of the snow.

You'll love the advantages of a snow blower, I plowed with a truck and a tractor for 15 years, switched to a blower 5 years ago and there is no way I'll ever go back to a plow.

Enjoy your new toy!
