Looks interesting. I found a similar one on Ebay too, but out of my price range right now.

Thanks for the information though.

In the past someone reported driving DOWNHILL with a loaded trailer on the three point hitch of his tractor. The weight of the trailer pushed up on the three point taking traction away from the rear wheels and literally pushing the tractor sideways down the hill. This was on a gravel type road. Luckily he was finally able to stop at the bottom of the hill and did not flip over. Be careful.....

Yep, but not as likely to happen with a gooseneck trailer since there will be over a thousand pounds on the ball.

Best thing is run a chain from the drawbar to the toplink pin so it can't go higher than it needs to be.

I got to thinking last night. All my trailers have electric breaks. I wonder if I could somehow hook up a break controller on the tractor. Its 12V and has a break light circuit. At a minimum I could use the manual lever that is on most units in case I need it.

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me. Just get a 12v source and mount the brake controller where you can reach it easily at. I still don't think I'd use your machine to move a loaded trailer though.

I cant lift a loaded trailer, so no worries there. Once I get my hitch I need to move it to the back pasture (its empty) so I will get a good feel for it. Its all flat and level.

You should be able to get everything you need from the dealership. My NH T4.75 came with the plugs on the rear end above the three point hitch for brake lights, electric brakes and turn signals. I can just back up to my larger trailer with the tractor, plug in the two plugs, and drive off just as if I had used my pickup truck with the trailer.

Unfortunately Bobcat does not have that as an option, but access to the wiring is easy, so just need to track things down. You did give me a great idea though of installing a plug on both ends of the tractor. Thanks

I thought I would update this with what I did. I bought this unit with a 39" hay spear (they offer 39". 43" and 49") just in case I need to move some small round or mid size square bales around. The hay spears are removable.
Adapters, Titan Fitness items in Titan Attachments store on eBay! They also have a regular web sites with slightly cheaper pricing Loader Forks | PalletForks.com | (800) 605-8241 or Titan Distributors Inc

This is the unit I got.
3 Point Hay Spear Bale Spike Gooseneck Trailer Receiver Hitch Tractor Attachment | eBay

Price was very good, it shipped fast, and build quality was good overall with a few rough welds that were not smoothed before painting.

Now the good news. It worked perfectly to move my 23' GN around, so either the pin weight is lighter, or Bobcat has underrated the 3pt capacity. I move my GN with ease. It did rock the tractor stopping while descending a very small incline , but worked well. Parking the trailer was a snap.

Now to get a cup fabricated to fit over the ball to move my 5th wheel around.

Thanks for the help folks
