Grapple Best Root Grapple for 75hp Tractor?

Just curious. I use mine a lot to push over trees. Sometimes up to 6 or 7" diameter. I would be afraid to do that with those bottom tines. Seems either I would bend them of wedge the trunk in between them. Maybe that's not a problem.

Those bottom tines are not bending and I've pushed it to the limits till the tractor was on 2 wheels.

However, like on this cedar tree I popped the roots on two sides and I was wishing I had a small sharp cross bar ( about midway in the curve) connecting the two middle tines to cut the tap root. I had to resort to pushing it over, no big deal it just took me 3 minutes longer.

Notice with the two lids I do not put pressure on the lids when pushing.

That looks good. That's very similar to what I do with mine. Those bottom tines are very stout looking. Grapples are really amazing tools.

Going to place an order for the Rake Shop grapple in the morning - looks like a super grapple and the independent tines should increase the functionality I believe. Thanks for all of the great suggestions everyone - never would have found Rake Shop with out this thread!

Grapple arrived yesterday from The Rake Shop. Looks to be super well built, and very capable.
Unfortunately it arrived with the wrong color (ordered gray/black, got blue (which doesn't even match New Holland Blue) so I'll have to see what they're willing to do...

At any rate, other than the errors I'm very happy with the purchase. It's quite heavy; I don't forsee bending it with this tractor at least!

Looks good. If you use yours like I use mine half of the paint will be off soon and the rest will be so dirty you won't be able to tell the shade. Lot's of tough steel there.

Congrats on the new grapple! (and a late 'congrats' on the new tractor :D)

I came oh so close to buying that same model, but in the end it didn't work out. I still dream about it someday :D

Looking forward to more pics!
