Does anyone here have experience with a silt scoop or know where I can get one?

What is a slit scoop and how do you use it. I might know it by another name.

That is a pond scoop, or at least that's what I've always known them by. Tractor Supply has plenty of them for sale, and I'm sure you can find them at your local tractor dealers too. You might also check out all the craigslist's for your general area.

I see those at auctions VERY commonly around here. Mostly go for 50-100 bucks. bought one a few years ago for $30 - ended up giving it to a friend that doesn't have a loader and needed something to move dirt with.

Yep, bought one several years ago for $75 when I didn't have an FEL. Moved a LOT of dirt with it on a Kubota B2910. See them all the time on sale bills around here. I've also saw several on Craigslist. Don't pay big money for one.

Have a look at; Stark Engineering
The are listed under other products, there is a video of one working.
May have to look under scales and other products.

Yes, the one from pederick is more like what I have in mind. I can not actually get into the pond with the tractor, so the 3 point dirt scoop would be pretty much useless. All the companies I've found that make the silt scoops like pederick seem to be in Australia.

Thanks for the info, guys.

Maybe find or build something like these to pull back and forth with a cable. By changing the pulling point, it wouldn't need a man on the handles to operate it.
