I just took an order for a set of category 2 3-point hitch forks, but I can't seem to find how high to center the lower link pins from the base of the implement. Does anyone out there have a category 2 3-point hitch on their tractor that would be able to tell me how low their lower link arms go? I really need to know how far the center of the ball joints are from the ground when your hitch is lowered completely. Of course, I'll make the pins high enough that the customer can lower them to sit the forks on the ground, even if the ground behind the tractor is a little lower, but I just want to be safe.

Thanks for the help!

I'll get you an actual measurement in the morning if you want but it might vary a lot from one tractor to another.

There is no standard... varies from tractor to tractor from the same manufacturer... and depends on what tires/rims are on the tractor.... [ I would make multiple holes for mounting of the pins ] Good luck...!!!! :)

It all depends. Some will go down to the ground, on the lowest setting.

OK having gone out with a measuring tape. As presently set up the hitch drops to eight inches in the fully lowered position but there is eight inches of adjustment in the threaded lift arms so I could set it to touch the ground if I wanted.

Why not ask the customer?

The arms responsible for lift are on splines so the range limits can be changed but not the arc of the range.
