Kubota L45
A somewhat local dealer has a land pride bb2572 for sale he will take 800 for. I think it's an older model since it doesn't have the side gussets, but it has a hinged rear blade. Paint looks good. 7 scarifiers. Good deal? Will it pair to my kubota l45 well?

Thanks

Size wise its about right for your tractor.Price also seems fair;I have had good luck with Landpride but don't own that particular BB.

At 549lbs, this is nothing special. As far as price, don't know, probably fair. A nice 6' box blade for your L45 is going to weigh 800+lbs. Really want something around 1000lbs if you are going to be working this implement hard.

Just my :2cents:, good luck.

Pretty much in agreement with Brian, it is a fair price, but after using my BB2584 for two years, I bought a HR3584 at 1100 pounds and for me you just can't beat a good heavy box scraper whether standard or roll over. I added about 400 pounds of weight to my BB2584 and use it for light stuff or ballast when I'm using two tractors.

Where are you guys finding box blades that heavy? I've checked a bunch of manufacturers and it seems 550lb is about the norm for a 6' box.

I'm just a homeowner farmer. Mostly looking to build a dirt bike track. Level some ground. Spread some gravel. You know. .. the usual.

Here and here.

You don't have to get hydraulic rippers, but you will be way better off with something no less than 800lbs. Just need to look some more I guess.

It might work for you, obviously it does for a lot of people. The type of tasks and type of ground will make a difference. Where I live, when it's dry, my BB2584 will just scratch the surface, so several passes with rippers down are required to do much of anything. My HR3584 gets good penetration and is more efficient with less time, fuel and frustration.

I'm thinking I pretty much have to take the shot with the BB2572. The heavier models all seem to add the hydraulic rippers and the prices seem to jump way out of my league pretty quickly.

I think if I find this ineffective, I could add a bit of weight, or just resell and try again.

Trust me, I can sure appreciate the sticker shock on the ones mentioned, sure hurt me to write that check.

Hope it works for you, let us know.
