Pat\'s Easy Change System

"No stupid questions, just dumb mistakes!"

As it is 1110 PM and raining, I can't go out and measure, so will the system fit on a M4900 Kubota? I ran off the specs and will try to measure tomorrow. The thickness of my arms (on the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif) might be a problem.

I've looked at the other "quick connects" and several of my older implements have different spacing. This looks like the ideal solution.

Thanks in advance!

i don't know off hand if it will fit your kubota, but, my mahindra 4500 has a cat 2 3ph,pat's ad on tbn and on their website, only lists a cat1..i called them 2/16/04 and they do sell a cat 2

Dieseldoc.

This is new information to the board. For a long time now it has been discussed that PAT doesn’t offer a CAT II hitch. It must be really new. Did they happen to quote you a price for it?

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System

Pat DOES sell a Cat II system, they are approx. $10 more. At least at the Louisville show he was selling them for that difference.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System

Thanks for the replies so far. I went out and measured just now. Mine is 1 and 1/2 inches wide (at the ball) and 3 inches tall. I have at least 4" of straight arm. Although my M4900 is CAT II, all my implements are CAT I. If it would fit I was just going to use the same shims that I use on my attachments. Does anyone know if the inside width of the "easy change link" is 1 and 1/2 inches or better?

Pat's site says: "Fits lift arms 2-3 1/4" tall"
"Requires approximately 4" of straight arm."

Nothing about width, but it seems to be a standard even to the compacts.

I would rather have the hooks a CAT 1 size instead of CAT II. Then I wouldn't have to use shims on the implements.

Maybe I'll just order them and give them a try. I've got a 30 day guarantee.

Thanks everyone!

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System

Buy the Cat I hooks and use a bushing to reduce your Cat II balls down.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change System

Thanks dieseldoc. I am going to order the Cat 1 set first. As I said in an earlier post, all the implements we have are set up Cat 1 (used to have a Ford 8N & 3000). I have to use the shims on all the implements now to hook up to my M4900. It is already hard enough getting everything lined up but the shims seem to make it even harder.

If they don't work, I'll probably go the Cat 2 route. As most of my problems are the lower arms, I think this system will work better (at least for me) than the other Quick Attach systems.

I'll let everyone know "the rest of the story" after I try them out.
