Tractor
Kioti NX6010HSTC, Cat 279c
I purchased some pallet forks for the Kioti... my Bobcat ones were big and heavy and old, and wanted some that looked as nice as the tractor and were lighter... plus the brick guards. Drove over an hour to get them.

Got home - they don't fit. I spent 15 minutes arguing on the phone with the idiot I purchased them from, who said they were for skid steer quick attach not tractors, they fit their skid steers, sold hundreds with no issues, etc. He couldn't understand why they were wrong and not my tractor. He was rude and seemed to have the IQ and personality of a lampshade. The plate measures 44.1" inside, my tractor SSQA measures 44.5" - just under the 44.52" spec for SSQA.

Back they go. What a waste of time.

Yep, about an inch too narrow for a plate.

If everything else about the SSQA is OK, can it be modified in less time than driving back to see the lampshade? Keep in mind the lampshade may get ll kinds of calls from "other lampshades".

Four tenths of an inch would have to be a real important 4 tenths for me to drive an hour. But I have the eqpt, can usually deal with stuff like that easier than chipped paint. Fully understood if you don't have metalworking eqpt or the desire to do so, it's probably 1 in a hundred who do.

So the brand of forks is? The moronic dealer is? The forks plate is too small for your SSQA shoes to fit into, yes?
Sorry for your trouble; best these days to take a tape measure wherever you go since no one seems to know anything anymore, and the crap always lands on the customer.

An even bigger lampshade was the "guy" or facility that made them about an inch too narrow.

I think the 45 inch width is to cover manufacturing tolerances. The Bobcat SSQA is 44 inches wide, so the forks probably would fit most skid steers. I have some attachments that are very narrow tight and some that are sloppy wide.

The Bobcat SSQA plate is one piece so not likely to vary like tractor loader plates, even though the OP's plate is in spec.

This is the second thread (different OP and dealer) that Bobcat sized quick attach attachments do not fit on a Kioti.
Kubota QA is exactly 44" or 1/2" narrower than Kioti.
That 1/2" tolerance the wrong way for them, along with your 1/2" the opposite way, makes for a no fit.

I've had mixed results with the weld-on plates I've bought for my old John Deere, and my current Mahindra. It seems like some kind of modification was required for about half of them. Some were too loose in some spots, and interfered in others. Plasma cutter and a welder makes it so that's not generally a big deal, but I can see how a poor fit up could be extremely frustrating to someone buying a ready made implement.
