Good luck, and may the force be with you.

Heat plus a sledge and a piece of firewood and about 10 hits knocked it loose.

The bolts and nuts holding the gearbox are 15/16.
The nut holding on the stump jumper is 36mm - might be US but 36mm worked.
The nuts holding the blades on are 1 5/8. I didn't need a socket since I took the hub off.

Back to work!

Blades.

Gearbox shaft. The hub is pretty massive so I wan't worried about burning a seal. Since there is a cotter pin to lock the nut I coated the splines with Nev'r Sieze.

All good now and spent 3-4 hours mowing.

You might try that if you have any Fluid Film around - apply it directly on your balls and rub them around for a while.

I think I'll pass on trying that.

The metal scrap dudes that scurry around on trash day are going to like that find! Unless I want to make a cleaver or something....

I think i'll pass on land pride shreaders. The thing looks almost new. The blade should wear out, not break off because the steel is poor. Is this there bottom shelf model? Im still on my first blade for my Rhino TW72, 15 years.

I bet there are more rocks in my plot than your township.....and I hit a bunch of them, since the property hadn't been cleared since 1987.

We have a short season and I spent more on a walk-behind snow thrower than this, which I will use maybe 10 hours a season. Moot as there are only a couple Rhino dealers in New England.

I read about this one guy who had a problem with his new Rhino mower one time....I'd never buy Rhino :)

Glad you got it back in working order. I'm on my second Land Pride ( had an 1860 and now a 2072 (I think) due to bigger tractor) and both have been great. Dealer sold both Land Pride and Woods and I like both, but Land Pride is built from heavier gauge steel, which is why I went that direction.
