if your mowing 2X a year do not expect a small flail with small mule to do the work that would require a
60 plus HP mule with an 8 foot VRSIMO, Loftness, JD, ALAMO, LONG, or other brand flail to do in one pass.

I know KAMAN can replace those bushings with 2 row roller bearings and you will have no issues
other than ordering a new stub shaft.

Lot sizes are between 1/4 acre to 1.5 acres. Not really a good area for large equipment.....

You have easy mowing there with a wide flail mower and a bigger mule.

My father used his Ford Jubilee with a 7 foot JD25 finish flail mower to
reclaim 12 acres of pasture with 12-15 foot golden rod and mowed it
every year after that.

You might want to examine your power and mower issues as a flail mower will
outlive two or three mules if you take care of it.

My flail mower is 35 years old and still runs like it was new.
It was my fathers second flail mower before he bought the JD25A finish flail mower.

Here is a top view of one of our HOA's. Lot lines are pretty narrow. Other end is sub-irrigated and wet in the common areas. I get the 3037 stuck on occasion. Can't imagine a heavier rig. Also a weight issue with much bigger of a tractor as i really don't want to buy sidewalks. Also don't need 50-75K sitting around most of the year. $25K i can justify..........

I agree with flail for that application. Safer, but much more expensive to run. Blade sets are expensive.

Dude, if they don't make it anymore, you know what the size is?????? Just go have one made and get on with it. From the looks of the HOA ( your fault for buying into that life) it is in a populated area. Should be no problem finding a shop that will fix you up for a 12 pack.

Take the advise here and make improvements so it isn't ever an issue again. After 70 hours.... it was designed wrong in the first place. You can ***** and moan, sue, whatever. You get what you pay for.

Days gone by the local implement dealer would have it on the shelf. Ir was called servicing what you sell. Something you don't hear of anymore. Now it's Monday UPS. Not a machine shop around here that will do a job for under less than an hour labor @ $100 and it will likely take a week or more to get it done. **** i can't even find laborers for $15-$20 an hour to trim! We mow and trim about 75 acres of HOA's here every summer. Average $100-$125 an hour with a 6' mower. Not a lifestyle i choose to live in. I'm on acreage far from town. These HOA's pay a LOT of my bills though. Doing driveways too. Just booked a 1/2 mile drive serving 2 homes. Will make a nice bit of coin on it. The 2 homeowners have been trying to get someone to give them a bid since fall of 2013 and i was the 1st person to show up. 4 belly dumps of Gravel and about 6 hours tractor time. Will pocket about $1,000 for the day after expenses. NOBODY HERE WANTS TO WORK!!!

People will pay for service. You are providing those folk with a service no one else wants to do. I am sure that they are happy to finally find someone.

As far as inventory, i was parts manager for Howard Rotavator in Illinois from 1996-1999. We had EVERY wear item in stock and even some large replacement parts. Dealers ***** and moan that the internet is killing them but they are pushing people to the web by not stocking stuff!

It doesn't help when the manufacturers and distributors are telling their dealers that they should be turning over their inventory every three months. So if they are not selling a particular part more than twice a year there is no reason to stock it. And most parts are available within 48 hours shipping. And top it off with parts being avialable online to the consumer for less than dealer cost.

Was just having a discussion on another forum the other day about Briggs oil filters. and the are purchasing OEM filters on ebay for less than my dealer bulk price.

They list it as a flanged bushing but I don't see the flange.

Looks like pretty common metric dimensions. 25mm x 35mm x 25mm

A bushing isn't the best idea for that tailwheel assembly. All the cutters I have used and gone through had bearings. My bh306 has a pair of tapered rollers. The 72x is their lower end cutter. If you like it otherwise, see about a different setup with roller bearings
