It seems like it should be possible, but I haven't seen any dual Cat1/Cat2 quick attach hitches. All of my stuff is Cat1 except one item, and in the future I can imagine getting one more Cat2 but not much. It seems like it would be easily possible to have both on one unit?

I've never heard of a quick hitch that is both cat1 and cat2. The cat2 is significantly heavier, wider and taller.

Yes, I'm familiar with the differences between the two categories. But as many implements are Cat 1 & 2 QA (on the lift pins at least, not sure if they work with cat2 QA too) it seems like it would be simple to have a hitch which had two sets of hooks for the lift pins and the top links. There seems to be plenty of spacing for both to exist at once.

I'd like to build the ultimate QA setup, but want to make sure this doesn't exist before I do :)

Priefert used to make one, but they've stopped making anything but livestock stuff a while back - I have one of their tillers, it's pretty nice.

I kept one of their pics from before they stopped making much in the way of implements, might give you some ideas for yours - I know I'm gonna mod my HF QH's for at least the better upper hook setup... Steve

The only experience I have with a Quick Hitch is my JD iMatch which is a Cat 1. It's very rigid in its design IOT handle the implements.

That being said, my JD ballast box which says 'iMatch compatable', isn't quite compatable as it's more Cat 0. An extended bushing (sold separately, of course) fixed that problem by making it a solid Cat 1 implement.

So, a simple but somewhat expensive option would be to get a Cat 2 QH and equip all of your Cat 1 implements with Cat 2 bushings. Later on, if you're going to sell those Cat 1 implements, you can remove the Cat 2 bushings.

Cat 2 is much wider, and the top link is also much higher from the pins than a cat 1. So it's not as simple as adding cat2 bushings, because nothing would line up. I'm not sure I want to hack up all my implements to be cat 2.

Not sure what I'm going to do... might just get the Cat 1.

Thought of something else when it comes to converting a Cat 1 implement to a Cat 2 QH. The height of the Cat 2 top hook will be higher. A 'generic' extender, something that you could swap around on the Cat 1 implements, would work.

I had one made for my ballast roller, which wasn't iMatch compatible:

The second photo shows a chain rigged up to prevent the pin from popping out whilst the roller is on the ground being used.

Well, I'm going to be of absolutely no help.

That said, I saw a thread on one of the tractor forums about a QH that had a sliding rack that can be used for CAT 1 or CAT 2 depending on the setting.

The top link had a longer mounting area that had a set of holes placed correctly for CAT 1 and another set of holes for CAT 2.

Maybe someone can find it. I'll try when I have more time.

It works something like this.

SH35 Series Skid Steer Hitch | Land Pride

Of course, the brilliant thing to do is get a Pat's Easy Change in CAT 2 and bush the CAT 1 implements up to CAT 2 size. Or just replace the CAT 1 pins with CAT 2 pins and do away with the bushings.

I am able to use CAT 1, CAT 2, and a bunch of oddball homemade implements with the Pat's.
