I am currently looking at a Perfect Mower. 9' Model LB 275V. I am wondering if this would be an adequate mower. It has 3 rotary cutters with swinging blades, like a standard rotary rough cut. I currently have 2 72" rotary rough cuts, ( one JD MX 6 and a Land pride 72" as well as a JD 390 flail.
I would be interested to hear from anyone that has used or has one of these Perfect mowers, as to it's performance, and if it is designed to take on heavy growth or if it is basically limited to "pasture topping" . The nearest dealer is 10 hours away, and it looks as though the consumables ( belts, cutters ) may be more reasonably priced than changing out a set of cutters on my 390 flail which is around $ 1000.00

Thanks so much fella's!!

Cheers

Roger

Hello Roger,

Did you get price from Clean Cutter and Flail Master for side slicer knives?
The JD knives would be very expensive.

The V belts are a common belt and you can buy them as Kevlar belts from
other retailers than the local green shop.

We used the JD25A my father had for everything and it never let us down.

Looks to me like just something for topping. Dont look like it would take on too much heavy growth. Watch the video. Not really impressive IMO. Its basically a 9' Finish mower

Yes, I watched the video a couple of times, and I'm afraid I have to agree with you, and at 9 ft wide and riding on skids with a narrow roller across the back it would not do too well hanging over the ditch-bank mowing road-sides, even on undulating terrain I can see it missing areas due to it's width. perhaps a sod farm or a orchard. I think a lot of their products are basically designed for orchard or speciality work. I do find their blade configuration interesting.
I really appreciate your inputs!!( basically helping me to talk myself out of buying it and perhaps making a mistake!!)

Thanks

Cheers

Roger
