I've got the 2040 that was made in 77. Can someone tell me if I could get a front loader and backhoe attachment for this machine? If so, any info would help. Which models I'd need to get, where I could find them, how they mount, etc. It'd be best if the backhoe was quick attach. Thanks

Too bad you don't live close to Idaho , I build custom loaders and I can also do backhoes.

How do you do it? Do you have to have measurements and dimensions to do it or do you already have schematics for each tractor? Reason I ask is do you have any idea as to what I need to look for?

I have to have the tractor at my shop, and then based on the size of the tractor I design and build the loader or whatever the customer wants. All the loaders I build are designed by me, for whatever tractor I'm building it for. And if I've already build a loader for a specific tractor , I can then build it without having to have the tractor at my at my shop. I would try going on Google and searching for a loader . Just type in FEL for what ever kind of tractor you have.

woods = 3rd party manufacture of 3pt hitch backhoes. ((get a subframe))

with above said.... you are looking at very costly pieces of equipment FEL (front end loader) + backhoe, you would be better off most likely buying a used machine that already had a FEL and/or backhoe or both. for overall cost savings. or just going and getting something new.

normally when buying new... the tractor itself, FEL, backhoe, and cab. all 4 are high dollar items, and more likely to get a larger discount when purchasing them all at once on the same recipet. these items also tend to be a bit more tractor make/model specific. when you goto purchase stuff after you got the tractor, price can go up pretty high.

www.tractorhouse.com = agirculture tractors and various implements / attachments / other things for farming.
www.machinerytrader.com = industrial equpiment.

to note it TLB (tractor loader backhoes) found on machinerytrader = industrial tractors, which normally do not allow you to remove the backhoe and give access to 3pt hitch. 3pt hitch implements become very very handy. and more reason you see folks going with an agriculture tractor here on forums, and going with a 3pt hitch backhoe with subframe.

from sounds of your post, i would say ya need to take additional time researching various backhoes. and pro's / con's
goto google type in the following
3pt hitch backhoe site:tractorbynet.com
above will return various threads here on TBN just about 3pt hitch backhoes

=============
i would say, type up what you are needing to do / wanting to do. and why you want FEL / backhoe to handle various tasks you are looking at. with that knowledge folks might be able to point you in a better direction.
