I recently bought some land and the previous owners left what I believe is an old field cultivator. They said I could do whatever I wanted with it, so I need to know it's worth anything more than scrap metal. I can't post pictures right now but I could text them. It's at least 10' wide and 10' in length. It has a long hitch arm with a ring type hitch. It has two rotary type tiller looking deals on the back and the shaft is broken on one of those. It has some kind of hydraulic lift on the front half. It's old and rusty and the tires are flat. I believe it was originally painted Yellow. Other than cutting it up for scrap, I don't know what I could do with it?

Sounds like a do-all maybe?
Back when everything was planted up on hipped up (aka bedded) rows.
After pulling up rows and before planting you pulled a do all over them and it flattened out the top of the row and broke up the clods.

It is useful to on a field that has been disked as well to break up the clods and give you a good surface to plant in.

Yes, it is very similar to that. I went back out and looked at it again and it has two hydraulic pumps on it. It's a very heavy duty attachment. I hate to cut it up for scrap if anyone could use it. I'll try to post some pictures and just let someone have it if they will come get it. Thanks

old spring tooth rolling harrow used to finish a field before planting. Looks like it been robbed pretty good. Its worth more than scrap IMO lots of good steel to be used for projects.

Thanks for the info. I figured somebody who knows what they are doing might be able to use it for parts or convert it to something else useable. I really just want to get it out of my way and cutting it up for scrap metal would be a lot of work! :)

if I was closer I would come get it. 2.5 hrs from work and 3 .5 from home is a little far to travel for scrap. I will check around I know a few folks up that way that might be interested.

That looks like it would be perfect base for a a grader type attachment.
