Well, I just got off the phone with the dealer that I bought my TC45DA from and I just bought another piece of equipment. I bought a Brush Bull 72 inch rotary cutter with slip clutch and guards at the front and back of the cutter for 1399.00 I guess it is a little late to ask if this was a good price or not /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif.

I haven't even taken delivery yet and I just keep spending them greenbacks. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I spent $1000 of a 60" Land Pride cutter last year.
Anyway, you made the deal you were happy with....don't rain on your own parade.

I bought the same mower last year and I think I paid right around $1,300. It's a good mower and you won't be disappointed. You must be going nuts waiting for everything to arrive /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That is an excellent mower. One thing I recently learned about it is that there is a large oil tube running down and bathing the bearing. This provides a much better lubrication than some other mowers, like my cheaper Howse. Also, the reinforcement in Woods mowers is better than most as well, covering a much larger area. A man came into my dealer's a couple of weeks ago with a VERY old Woods mower, banged up and battered, but still in great shape and still working. He was there for a problem on the tractor, not the mower! Enjoy it, you'll get your money's worth from it. John

Hi James,

This may be apples and oranges but may give you a gage.

I paid $940 for my BB72. It has front and rear guards, but the front is thick rubber with cord in it, and the rear is made from heavy gage sheet metal. You probably have the heavy-duty chain type guards.

I bet you're really going to enjoy that TC45!

I paid either $1,200 or $1,250 last summer for a BB60 with slip clutch and front and rear chain guards...can't remember for sure, but I think it was $1,200. I could look it up... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

THe chain guards add a lot but they are well made and I think worth it. I doubt that I would have saved much making my own, given the price of chain and the labor involved. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The next thing you'll need to buy is a digital camera for all those baby pictures you'll want to take. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
